In order to obtain a ‘squeaky clean’ feel after a shower, we usually make use of soaps and shampoos. Even as children, we love the foam that we create because of the bubbles that we can generate once we combine our cleansing agents with water. Technically, the bubbles in our cleansing agents are responsible for the cleaning action of these body care products. The foam is responsible for the lifting action of the products, thereby ‘lifting’ away the dirt, grime, and oils from the surface of our bodies. Rinsing then washes away the detached impurities from our bodies, after they were lifted off by the bubbles.
How do shampoo bubbles work
When shampooing our hair, we often create a rich and thick lather from our shampoo to make sure that our hair and scalp make use of the benefits of shampoo bubbles. The bubbles from the shampoo dissolve the dirt, oil, and grime that are present in the hair and scalp. These bubbles lift out the hair’s impurities and allow them to be washed away with water.
On the downside, the presence of bubbles in our shampoos may indicate the presence of chemicals and other detergents. Sure they strip away the dirt and oil, but Sulfates might also remove natural oils, which could lead to dryness, thin hair or even hair loss.
It is so much better to use natural products that do NOT have side effects. We do not absolutely need bubbles to clean our hair but we often like them.
Fortunately, the market is now aware of and wanting shampoos that contain all-natural ingredients. They are still as foamy as the ones we were previously accustomed to, and you have the comfort of knowing that they are all natural and will do you no harm. Return to nature to provide the answers for a clean body.
